Next js basic website optimisation.

Hi all,
I have a website on next js, which was created by someone learning next js. Even though the code is not very clean, the website looks ok.
However there is an issue with the rendering of the pages. Most of them take more than several seconds to load, and some even more.
What I am looking for is an experienced next js professional to inspect the issues. I can provide a link for first look and access to the code upon request. The project is a research project but even so we would like this task to be taken care of ASAP by end of the week.
