Next js 13 Not correctly fetching from Local Storage

I have a Next project that I am having issues with. It could be a 2 minute fix if you can spot my error. 90% of it works great. Just cant resolve one thing
The user logs in then is taken to a questions screen were they select a few boxes. They then click submit but it doesnt submit until I refresh the page. Then it allows a user to submit. I am saving the Uid to local storage on signup then when routed to the questions screen, I am pulling that local storage to get the Uid to send to the API. That doesnt work until I refresh.
