Next.js & Node App Enhancement -- 2
Budget: $10 – $150 USD
I’m enhancing a production web application that runs on a Node.js back-end with a Next.js/React front-end. The codebase is solid but needs new features, performance tuning, and stronger cloud-side practices.
Our data layer is strictly SQL—MySQL in staging and PostgreSQL in production—so you’ll be writing migrations, refining schema design, and squeezing every millisecond out of complex queries. The app already lives on AWS, and smooth deployments through its typical toolchain are essential as you roll out improvements.
You’ll be working in a Git workflow with feature branches and pull requests. The primary deliverable is a clean PR that:
• introduces the agreed-upon feature set
• refactors any legacy Node endpoints into modern, type-safe Next.js API routes
• leaves automated tests green and performance metrics better than baseline
• deploys successfully to our AWS staging environment without regressions
Once merged to main, I’ll handle production rollout.
When you reply, please link two comparable projects, outline your approach to code reviews and CI/CD, and let me know how soon you can start.
