Needed expert in javascript, react, nodejs npm on Heroku

Hi I have a lot of knowledge in C and Python, trying to create an app in Javascript using React and nodejs npm on Heroku, I need someone to guide me through this and teach me the basics. Specifically I am editing a github project to my needs.
