Moodle UI & Feature Customization

Job ID: 40623703

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I need our internal-learning Moodle instance to feel unmistakably ours, both visually and in the way it behaves.

Design & brand
I will supply the colour palette, logos and typography guidelines; you will translate them into a bespoke Moodle theme. That includes restyling dashboards, course pages and activity screens so nothing looks “out-of-the-box”. The login and self-registration pages must carry the same look and messaging, and the primary navigation should be reorganised to match our information architecture.

Functionality
Beyond appearance, I want tighter control over learning flows. Custom role definitions are required so managers, mentors and auditors each have the exact permissions we specify. Assessment and grading methods also need adjusting: we use a competency-based model, so grades may map to skill levels rather than percentages. Any code changes should stay upgrade-safe by using Moodle’s recommended override and plugin patterns.

Deliverables
• Installable custom theme with SCSS/CSS sources and graphics
• Navigation overhaul documented in a site map
• Role & capability configuration exported as a deployable preset
• Modified assessment/grading logic packaged as a local plugin or subclass, with concise setup notes
• Git repository and short hand-off call to walk me through maintenance

Acceptance
The site must pass Moodle’s built-in theme checks, render correctly on the latest Chrome, Edge and Safari, and leave core files untouched so that future version upgrades remain hassle-free.

Tech stack keywords: Moodle 4.x, PHP, Mustache templates, SCSS, JavaScript, Git.

Looking forward to seeing how you can make Moodle feel like an extension of our brand while adding the controls our L&D team needs.

Budget for the project is $50. Please ensure your bidding aligns with this.
