Make changes to va-calculator using ReactJS and VAOP

I have read the article https://medium.com/@vrakitine/vaop-in-examples-reactjs-mini-va-calculator-75fde22feb83 which provides an example and a link to the source code of a "mini calculator" in ReactJS. I need to add the ability to add binary numbers. Let this be a regular calculator, but if the first digit in the first operand is "0", it should understand that it is being asked to add binary numbers.
