Mailer Functionality Implementation
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
My problem:
I probably issue 5 purchase orders per day. It takes an inordinate amount of time to follow-up with each vendor to ask them for ETA guidance and then tracking guidance (as many vendors don’t send tracking information for parts or LTL shipments). So this means that we need to physically call or email each vendor to ask for such information which is just a massive time suck (especially if you have 40+ open PO’s at a time following up every day or two).
Some e-commerce companies that purchase from us have a link (it’s a webpage) where every PO they cut from QB automatically gets entered into this page. The vendor would receive a link to this page when we send out every PO through QB. It would then be THEIR responsibility to go onto our page which would populate there open PO’s with us and THEY would have to enter the carrier name, the tracking number, the ETA (ship date) etc. If after 3 days from cutting the PO the vendor has still not entered the information then they would automatically receive an email (generated through the system) that reminds them to enter the info (this could repeat every 3 days until it has been entered). After perhaps THREE unsuccessful requests then I would like to receive an email for me to CALL THE VENDOR at that point. ALSO when vendors would update this information I would receive an email stating that entered ETA etc.
Solution Required:
We have quick books V.30.0.4010.0 QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing & Wholesale Edition
I will need to have a "Bridge" developed that will be installed on same computer or another computer within network and serve as transfer point.
Bridge will receive information from my webpage (would also need developed for this very specific landing page) and push it into quick books. We will have to send our network admin to set this up at your location for one day.
