MERN Stack Website for Religious Non-Profit
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I am seeking an experienced freelance Full-Stack Developer to build a clean, minimalist, and high-performance website for a religious non-profit organization, Believers Foundation. The project requires a modern MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) implementation using Tailwind CSS for a responsive, clean, and modern design. The final product must be deployed to the domain believersfoundation.net.
Technical Requirements
Frontend (React & Tailwind CSS)
Build a Single Page Application (SPA) using React.
Implement a minimalist, clean, and highly responsive design using Tailwind CSS.
Develop the following navigation pages:
Home
Our Mission
Projects (This will house the donation drives)
Contact Us
Backend (Node.js/Express & MongoDB)
Develop a robust Node.js/Express backend to handle API requests and business logic.
Utilize MongoDB as the primary database for all content (blog posts, static page content, donation drive details, and donation records).
Secure all API endpoints, especially those used by the admin panel.
Key Features
1. Static Front Page and Content Management
The Home Page must be a static, professional landing page.
All content (text, images, and layout sections) on the static front page must be editable via the Admin Panel.
2. Blog Posts
Implement a Blog Section for organizational updates and articles.
Admin Panel Functionality:
Create, edit, publish, and delete blog posts.
Support for rich text editing (e.g., using an editor like Draft.js, CKEditor, or TinyMCE).
Image/media upload functionality.
3. Comprehensive Donation Drive System (Projects Page)
This is the most critical feature. The system must replicate the core functionality and user experience of the example site: https://m2.quest/gaza.
Admin Panel Drive Management:
Ability to create, edit, and delete new donation drives.
Ability to pause/suspend a live drive (preventing new donations).
Ability to set a target goal for each drive.
Ability to upload a main image, title, detailed description, and a counter of funds raised vs. goal.
Frontend User Experience:
Each drive should have a dedicated page showing progress toward the goal.
Tiered/Suggested Donation Amounts: Provide quick-select donation options (e.g., $10, $25, $50, $100) and a custom amount field.
Payment Integration: Seamless integration for processing payments using Stripe and PayPal for each specific donation drive. All payment data must be securely handled and recorded in the database.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience building full-stack applications with the MERN stack.
Expertise in React development and state management.
Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, professional design using Tailwind CSS.
Experience with Stripe and PayPal API integration for non-profit/charity donation processing.
Excellent communication and ability to deliver a polished product on a timely basis.
Please provide examples of previous MERN stack projects, especially those involving payment processing or complex admin/CMS functionality.
