Looking for senior developers for our team strategy -- 2

Job ID: 40286827

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I run a RO-based tech agency and I need a technical partner to take over running it. This post is specifically for technical freelancers and consultants who've already been running their own show — winning clients, scoping projects, managing delivery — and want to do it with an existing agency, team, and client base instead of building from zero.
If you're a developer or architect who outgrew just writing code and started running your own consultancy, managing clients, and subcontracting to other devs — this is your role.
This starts as a freelance engagement with a 2-week paid trial. If it works, this becomes full-time with a base salary + commission on new business. Partner-track, not employee-track.
You get: an existing team of developers, active clients, and strategic direction. You bring: the ability to grow the business, manage relationships, and deliver.
What you'll do:

Run the agency day-to-day — you're in charge
Own business development: I'll provide target verticals and ideas, you manage the CRM, outreach, pitching, and closing (50k+ deals)
Write compelling proposals that show prospects exactly what we'll build and why it's the right approach
Take over existing client accounts — handle bug reports, feature requests, quoting, and creating tickets for the dev team
Be the single point of contact for all client communication
Manage delivery with the dev team — scoping, prioritisation, timelines
Use Linear, Notion, and Slack

You must have:

Strong technical background — you can architect solutions, discuss system design, evaluate trade-offs, and review technical approaches with the dev team
Experience winning your own clients — you've personally done BD, scoped work, written proposals, and closed deals
Experience managing client relationships AND developer delivery simultaneously
Proposal writing that sells a technical vision, not just a list of features and timelines

Ideal if you:

Currently run or have run your own freelance consultancy or small dev agency
Got tired of doing everything yourself and want the leverage of an existing team and client base
Think at a solutions level, not just a code level
