Looking for R coder to import citations to Zotero
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a skilled developer using RSelenium in R. Here's what the project entails:
- Navigate to a given URL.
- Click on the Zotero connector (Ideally chrome, but Firefox will also work)
- From the popup window, click on the drop-down arrow.
- Select a Zotero collection
- Click Done
The expected result is for the metadata of the webpage to be loaded into the given collection of zotero.
This code will be implemented in a larger code we are developing. Unfortunately, I am stuck trying to call the Zotero connector. I tried using hotkeys, as a way to bypass the need to click on an external button, but it does not work. In the file attached, I have the work so far.
Skills and Requirements:
- Familiarity with RSelenium package and web browser automation.
- Strong understanding of JSON or other relevant data structures for Zotero import.
Freelancers with a background in data science or library information science highly preferred due to the nature of the work. If you have prior experience with Google Scholar scraping or Zotero, please highlight this in your proposal.
I attach the code so far.
