JavaScript app-cache to service worker conversion and WebSQL to indexDB

Job ID: 31245261

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

Hello developers,

We have a browser web app called PDQ - http://www.qnotes.com/pdqpad that needs an update. If you have worked on app-cache to service worker type projects before please respond.

1) Convert an existing (and working) jquery.mobile app from app-cache to server workers.
We will need a trigger to force a product update like app-cache does.
We run this app on IOS Safari / Android Chrome / Windows Chrome and it will still need to run on these platforms after implementing the Service Worker.

2) Convert our WebSQL to IndexDB.

3) Fix a broken jquery switch event. It is only broken on Chrome in Windows (works fine on IOS and Android and Windows 10 with touch screen).
Something to do with the mouse event (see below).

4) Alter our Restore screen with a third restore choice called "Device sync" (see below). This new third choice will be disabled unless a very current date / time stamp is detected. It will run the exact same code as the second choice "Patient Profile Table". I will provide more details on this time stamp later.

5) Add one new button to launch DropBox in a new browser tab with a lookup parameter to filter documents.

Items #1 and #2 are the main concern.
Please only respond if you are familiar with converting App-Cache to Service Workers.

I will provide a remote login to a AWS windows PC with all the JavaScript, HTML and other files with the current working app and for you to show the success of your work on the project. The PDQ app works with our own web page server that will be installed on the Windows PC as well. The scope of the project is 1-4 above. I'm a Windows developer and I wrote the server backend in Delphi.
