JavaScript & GLSL Expert for Shading
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We’re looking to hire a skilled developer with experience in JavaScript and GLSL for an interactive lighting and shading project. The project will involve implementing lighting models and shading techniques to enhance an existing app, requiring both CPU and GPU-side work.
Project Overview:
JavaScript (CPU Code):
Extend an existing OBJLoader to load vertex normals, essential for calculating lighting effects in shaders.
Set up a Vertex Array Object (VAO) to handle mixed buffers containing positions and normals for the 3D objects.
Write code to pass light and material properties to the shader for rendering.
GLSL (GPU Code):
Implement two shader pipelines: one for Goraud shading and another for Phong shading.
Ensure shaders can handle ambient, directional, and point lights, with support for multiple lights in each scene.
Enable real-time light updates to reflect user adjustments to light sources in the scene.
Ideal Candidate:
Proficiency in JavaScript and GLSL, specifically with vertex and fragment shaders.
Experience with 3D graphics, lighting, and shading models (Goraud and Phong shading).
Familiarity with OBJ file processing and managing VAOs for efficient rendering.
If you’re excited to work on this creative and technical project, please reach out with examples of your work. We’re looking forward to collaborating on an impressive visual experience!
