JavaScript Developer Needed to Build Dialer with Call Management Features
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced JavaScript developer to build a dialer application with the following core functionalities. The project requires only the dialer component, not the full UI design or backend integration. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in JavaScript (preferably React or Node.js) and be able to create an efficient, user-friendly dialer with the following features:
Key Features Required:
Make Calls:
The dialer should allow users to initiate outbound calls by dialing phone numbers.
End Call:
A button to disconnect the active call.
Mute and Hold:
The dialer should have mute and hold functions to manage the call.
Add Third Party Button:
A button that allows the interpreter (or user) to add a third party to the call during an active conversation.
This should allow for dialing out to another party (e.g., client, another interpreter).
Call Status Display:
The call status should be clearly displayed, showing updates such as:
"Ringing" when the call is dialing.
"Connected" once the call is answered.
"On Hold" when the call is on hold.
"Ended" when the call is disconnected.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience using React or Node.js.
Ability to implement call management features (make, end, mute, hold).
Clear and easy-to-understand code with good commenting.
Must be able to implement a third-party button for dialing out or adding additional participants during the call.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with SIP dialers or telephony systems (Twilio, Telnyx, etc.).
Familiarity with creating call status updates in real-time.
Understanding of web-based real-time communication (WebRTC, etc.).
Project Details:
Scope: Focus is on the dialer logic and core functionalities only.
No UI design is needed—just the functionality.
No backend integrations required for this phase.
