JavaScript Developer - Barcode Scanner

Job Title: JavaScript Developer - Intelligent Mail Barcode Scanner
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced JavaScript developer to create an Intelligent Mail Barcode scanner using a webcam on a contract basis. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in JavaScript and familiarity with Next.js. They will work closely with our existing development team to ensure the successful integration of the scanner into our current stack.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement an Intelligent Mail Barcode scanner using JavaScript and Next.js
• Utilize webcam capabilities to scan barcodes efficiently and accurately
• Integrate the barcode scanner with our existing Next.js frontend stack
• Optimize the scanner for performance, accuracy, and scalability
• Test the solution using provided sample images and ensure it meets the project requirements
• Collaborate with our development team to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems
• Document code and functionality to ensure maintainability and transfer of knowledge to the team
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in JavaScript development
• Proficiency in Next.js and React.js
• Strong understanding of webcam and barcode scanning technologies
• Familiarity with Intelligent Mail Barcode standards and specifications
• Experience working with video processing, image processing, or computer vision is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
