Integrate Google Drive API into Next.js Application for Read Operations -- 2
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
**Objective:**
We are looking for a developer with expertise in Next.js, Google Drive API, and PostgreSQL to implement OAuth 2.0 authentication in our existing Next.js 14 application. The primary goal is to facilitate secure connections to users' Google Drive accounts for read operations. This project is particularly straightforward as our Next.js app is currently a blank slate, containing only the foundational setup and the philosophical underpinnings of our technical requirements.
**Project Context:**
Our application is in its initial stages, with a clean Next.js 14 setup that adheres strictly to our project's technical philosophy and requirements. This blank state of the app makes the task at hand—integrating Google OAuth features and secure token storage—a more streamlined process, free from the complexities of navigating existing functionalities.
**Key Deliverables:**
1. **OAuth 2.0 Authentication Integration**:
- Seamlessly integrate OAuth 2.0 authentication using our pre-configured Next.js 14 environment.
- Create an OAuth callback route for the authorization code exchange process.
2. **Secure Token Storage in PostgreSQL**:
- Establish a PostgreSQL schema for the secure handling of OAuth tokens.
- Apply best practices for the encryption, storage, and management of tokens.
3. **Google Drive API Integration**:
- Utilize OAuth tokens stored in PostgreSQL to implement read operations from Google Drive (IMPORTANT: Drive of the users, NOT one account dedicated to app. Ability read from users account).
- Ensure the integration is fully compatible with the existing Next.js 14 setup.
4. **Documentation & Setup Instructions**:
- Update the project documentation to include detailed instructions on the OAuth setup, Google Drive API integration, and PostgreSQL configuration.
>>>>>Need to run in it on localhost<<<<
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Next.js 14, Google Drive API, and OAuth 2.0 authentication flow.
- Strong background in PostgreSQL, with a focus on security and data encryption.
- Capability to work with a blank Next.js 14 application and integrate new features efficiently.
### Application Requirements:
- Examples of prior work involving API integrations and secure data handling, particularly in a Next.js framework.
- A brief explanation of your approach to integrating OAuth 2.0 in a blank Next.js application and managing tokens securely in PostgreSQL.
- An estimated timeline for the integration process, considering the simplicity of the app's current state.
### Evaluation Criteria:
- Demonstrated expertise with the technologies specified (Next.js 14, Google Drive API, OAuth 2.0, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of secure storage solutions and best practices for OAuth token management.
- Ability to clearly articulate the integration approach, reflecting the ease provided by the initial setup's simplicity.
