Improve and Enhance Logistics Billing App -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Title:
Logistics Billing Web App – Rebuild or Upgrade for Long-Term Use (Cost-Effective, Low or No Monthly Cost)
Description:
I run a logistics company and already have a simple billing web application built with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Earlier it was connected to Supabase and deployed via GitHub and Vercel, but it is currently not functioning after some changes I tried to make. My goal now is to get a stable, long-term billing solution. It does not have to use the same stack
App link for reference (currently not working):
https://bills.stranz.in/
Main goals:
I need a reliable billing web app for logistics that handles loads, invoices and basic reports.
I want a cost-effective setup with no or very low monthly running costs. I prefer free tiers or one-time setup and want to avoid unnecessary SaaS subscriptions.
My data should be stored safely and remain accessible for at least 2 to 3 years without major issues.
Scope of work:
You should review the existing app and understand the current flow for loads, bookings and invoices.
You can either fix and improve the current HTML and JavaScript based app, or propose a better but simple architecture with frontend, backend and database that fits the cost and long-term stability goals.
You should implement a clean and stable billing flow that covers entering loads or bookings, generating invoices, and listing and searching or filtering loads and invoices.
You should improve the structure and user experience, including splitting the current load page into one page for entering new loads and another page for listing loads. You should also provide a simple and clear dashboard that shows key information.
You should ensure data reliability with a proper database structure and a basic backup approach, and avoid locking the system into an expensive platform.
Tech and hosting expectations:
I am flexible about the tech stack, but I prefer simple and maintainable options such as a static frontend with a lightweight backend and a Postgres or MySQL type database.
I prefer free tiers or low fixed-cost hosting or database options such as static hosting or a low-cost VPS.
I want to avoid high or variable monthly SaaS costs where the price can grow unexpectedly.
Information to include in your proposal:
First, describe your suggested solution. Mention the tech stack for frontend, backend and database. Explain your hosting or infrastructure plan and the estimated monthly running cost if any.
Second, clearly state what your quote covers. Confirm whether it is only for bug fixing, or for a full rebuild or upgrade plus feature improvements such as dashboard, split pages and reports.
Third, explain how you will ensure long-term reliability. Describe how data will remain safe and accessible for 2 to 3 or more years, including backups and any migration options.
Fourth, share your experience. Give a short summary of your experience with similar small web apps such as billing systems, dashboards or admin tools, and add one or two links or brief descriptions of relevant projects.
Fifth, describe your timeline and support. Mention the estimated time to deliver the first working and stable version. Also mention your policy for post-delivery bug fixes and ongoing maintenance and your rate for that work.
Next step:
After initial screening, I will share more details and access to the existing app.
