IIS : Convert a legacy HTML/Javascript project to run on windows Internet Information Server AND ADD DATABASE CONNECTOR TO MS SQL Server

Job ID: 31550088

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We have working software which is running on an old custom built web server. When we try to run it in IIS it doesn't work properly. We need someone to get it all working on IIS. There is one index.html file with approximately 400 additional HTML/javascript and 50 javascript files.

Your job will be to get it to work on IIS , we expect that you only need to get the first login page and menus working and then all of the other pages will function correctly.
At this time you don't need to change any of the logic on any of the pages, this initial job is only to get it working as it currently is on the legacy web server, and familiarise yourself with the architecture.

Later we will want other development to customise some of the screens.

Note that the back-end is MS SQL server so you will need to restore the database which we will provide and use that to get the system working.

Some sample files and screenshots are shown below so you can see the complexity.

Please only bid if you have done this kind of thing before. We expect it to only take approximately 4 to 16 hours , including communicating with us, downloading the files, restoring the database and documenting how to do it so we can repeat what you did on our side.

This is not a price decision , its a quality decision, we will apoint the work to the person we feel we would most like to work with in future.

Please note that there is a piece missing which you will need to develop, it is the database connector that connects the HTML/javascript to the database.
All of the SQL queries are in the HTML/javascript so you don't need to re-develop the SQL queries or write a complete API, you do however need to provide the connector from the javascript to the database. NOTE: You might need to edit all 400 files to use your new connector.

This project needs to have progress by Tuesday this week, so at least the login page is working by Tuesday. After that we will award milestones for the additional pages that are tested and working.

We will send you the HTML files and the MS SQL Server database. we expect you to deliver a document explaining how to setup IIS , plus your additional database connector source code and instructions on how to get it setup and working, plus the modified HTML files returned that will use your new database connector.
