3D Grillz Web App -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Providing a proof of concept is highly desired.
Looking for: 3D Developer experienced in Three.js, WebGL, and Python mesh processing (Trimesh/Open3D) — able to build a browser-based 3D viewer and turn dental STL scans into watertight, manufacturing-ready jewelry.
I'm building a desktop web app that turns a dental STL scan into a perfectly fitted, downloadable grillz design. I need someone who can start ASAP, and there's ongoing work after this if it goes well.
What it does
User uploads an STL scan of one arch.
The scan opens in a 3D viewer where they click teeth to select them.
A Python mesh service turns those teeth into a watertight, manufacturing-ready grill shell (STL/OBJ) they can download — ideally in under 30 seconds on a full-jaw scan.
The viewer needs to feel smooth on big meshes, with:
Rotate, pan, zoom
Material previews (gold, rose gold, silver)
A distance measurement tool (mm)
Stack
Frontend: Three.js (React or vanilla — your call)
Backend: a small Python service for the heavy mesh work (Trimesh preferred, or your recommendation)
You're a fit if you've done
Real Three.js work on complex 3D models
Procedural geometry / mesh generation (Trimesh, Open3D, PyMeshLab, etc.) — offsetting, shelling, booleans
To apply: send links to relevant past work, your suggested stack, and your availability. I want to move fast. Providing a proof of concept is highly desired.
