Google Script

I have a google sheet form where the users are filling it and upon submitting the data is falling in external sheet and this external sheet has to be shared with everyone going to response in editor accessibility. I am unable to put protection on it as the moment I put protection it stops accepting responses. If you think you can help me out to set up my sheet in a way that it accepts the responses but should also be protected at the same time please do contact me to discuss further.
