We are seeking a skilled Geodetic engineer to enhance a web-based interactive map platform. The project involves building a dynamic, scalable web map application with a focus on real-time data integration, user-generated content, and a robust API/backend. The platform is already partially developed using JavaScript and hosted on a VPS server with a WordPress website, with plans for future mobile app integration.
Features
The map requires the integration of the following features:
• Interactive data visualization with customizable layers and filters
• Real-time data feeds for dynamic updates
• User profile management and user-generated content (UGC) system
• Location-based services and geofencing
• Business listing and monetization features (e.g., ad revenue, freemium model)
• Offline functionality and data download capabilities
• API-driven data integration for external datasets
• AI-powered personalization and recommendation system
Who We're Looking For
• Freelancers only with excellent UI/UX design skills (mandatory)
• Direct technical communication (no agencies or intermediaries)
• Must have an active call facility (Aligning with the platform T&C)
• Ability to collaborate with a team
• Mid to senior-level developer with 5+ years of experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing interactive web applications or data visualization projects
Data Processing & Integration:
• Process and convert datasets into web-compatible formats from QGIS vector data & Raster
• Integrate external APIs for real-time data
Preferred Academic Background
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geodetic engineering, GIS engineering or related fields
