Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced freelance Full-Stack Developer to build a tree mapping and e-commerce web application using ArcGIS for front-end map visualization and PostgreSQL with PostGIS for spatial data management. The platform will allow users to view roadside tree plantation data, adopt/buy trees, and manage user roles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in integrating geospatial data with custom backends and delivering scalable, high-performance applications.
Responsibilities
Front-End Development:
Develop a dynamic map interface using ArcGIS JavaScript API to display tree locations and data.
Implement features like high zoom levels, pop-ups for tree details, and seamless user interaction.
Ensure responsive and user-friendly design.
Back-End Development:
Design and develop a RESTful API for tree data management, user authentication, and role-based access control.
Use PostgreSQL with PostGIS to manage large geospatial datasets, enabling efficient spatial queries.
Implement secure user login, registration, and role management (buyer, seller, admin).
E-Commerce Features:
Develop functionality for users to buy/sell trees, including payment gateway integration.
Update tree status dynamically (e.g., Available, Sold).
Database Management:
Optimize PostgreSQL database for performance and scalability with large datasets.
Implement spatial indexing, data partitioning, and caching where required.
Integration and Testing:
Integrate the backend with the ArcGIS front-end seamlessly.
Test the application for performance, bugs, and usability.
Deployment and Maintenance:
Deploy the application on cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
Provide documentation and ensure post-deployment support for bug fixes and minor updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
