Full-Stack Developer Needed for Custom Node.js API Development and MongoDB Integration -- 2
Budget: $150 – $250 SGD
We are seeking an experienced full-stack developer to create a custom API using Node.js and MongoDB to retrieve comprehensive information on all types of TLDs (including gTLDs, nTLDs, ccTLDs, etc.). This API will be developed exclusively for this project and will not rely on third-party APIs for TLD information. The API must include:
Domain names currently in use.
Detailed information on each domain.
The purpose behind each domain.
Information about the companies managing the domains.
Automatic updates when new TLDs are released.
Regular updates every 3 hours to fetch the latest information.
Additionally, the project includes building an interface to display this information on a website.
Next Phase:
We aim to expand the system to gather data from web hosting providers or domain name providers about the domains they sell and track domain promotions. The goal is to create a list of the best promotions, sorted by price, and update the list regularly with new promotions.
For this, the API must be capable of:
Integrating with third-party APIs from hosting/domain providers where available to retrieve promotion and domain information.
Web scraping where third-party APIs are unavailable, to fetch and monitor promotions directly from provider websites.
The system must be able to regularly check for new promotions and update the listings.
Admin and Co-Admin Backend:
The project will also include developing an admin and co-admin backend to manage the API and website data. The roles and access are as follows:
Admin Role:
Complete control over managing TLD, domain, and promotion data.
Access to modify API settings, including update intervals and data sources.
Ability to create, edit, or delete user roles, including co-admins.
View and manage activity logs and system notifications.
Control over the frontend display of data on the website.
Co-Admin Role:
Ability to view and edit existing TLD and promotion data but cannot delete or add new sources.
Limited access to API settings for viewing only, without the ability to make significant changes.
No rights to manage user roles but can provide input or suggestions to admin.
Can assist in managing the frontend display of promotions as directed by admin.
Key Requirements:
Expertise in Node.js for API development and MongoDB for data management.
