Full-Stack Dev for Manufacturing Workflow System

Job ID: 38208938

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Description:
We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to create a robust Manufacturing Workflow Management System using Python and a production SQL database. The system will manage product workflows, track real-time progress, assign workers, and provide detailed insights into production efficiency.

Project Overview:
The goal is to develop a web-based application that allows administrators to manage workflows, assign tasks to workers, track progress, and analyze performance metrics. The system will be designed for a manufacturing environment with predefined production workflows for various products, including inner and outer gear sets, oil pump gear sets, and other components.

Key Features and Requirements:

Technology Stack:

Python
Production SQL database (PostgreSQL preferred)
Flask (for web framework)
Flask-SocketIO (for real-time updates)
HTML/CSS/JavaScript (for front-end)
Modules and Functionality:

a. Database Setup:

Create tables for products, workflows, workers, and workflow states.
Ensure robust database schema to handle all required relationships and constraints.
Preload database with predefined products and standard workflows.
b. User Management:

Administrator login with full access to manage workflows and workers.
Worker login with restricted access to update task statuses.
c. Product Management:

Admin interface to add, edit, and delete products.
Predefined workflows for specific product types (e.g., inner/outer gear sets, oil pump gear sets).
Dropdown menus for selecting and starting workflows.
d. Workflow Management:

Admin interface to manage workflow states, add comments, and assign workers.
Ability to change workflow states and move workflows between stages (e.g., Queueing, In Progress, Error).
Track time spent at each stage and aggregate data for performance analysis.
Generate unique workflow IDs to differentiate multiple runs of the same product.
e. Real-Time Updates:

Implement real-time updates using Flask-SocketIO for workflow progress and worker assignments.
Ensure the front-end reflects the current state of workflows and worker assignments.
f. Worker Assignment:

Interface to assign workers to specific workflows.
Dropdown menu for selecting idle workers.
Auto-assign idle workers based on predefined rules and priority settings.
g. Error Handling:

Allow workers and administrators to mark workflows as error states.
Capture comments on error states for later review and resolution.
Front-End Design:

Clean, user-friendly interface for both administrators and workers.
Separate pages for managing products, managing workers, and monitoring workflow progress.
Ensure responsive design for use on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Additional Requirements:

Detailed logging for all actions performed within the system.
Comprehensive testing to ensure all features work as expected.
Documentation for the setup, configuration, and usage of the system.
Deliverables:

Full source code with comments.
SQL scripts to set up the database schema and preload data.
Documentation for deployment and maintenance.
Comprehensive user guide for administrators and workers.
Skills Required:

Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy)
SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Flask-SocketIO
Experience with manufacturing workflow systems (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Application Instructions:
Please provide a portfolio of relevant work, your approach to this project, and an estimated timeline for completion. If you have any questions or need further details, feel free to ask.
