Front-end/UI developer experienced in building Data Visualisation Dashboards

Job ID: 31201452

Budget: $25 – $50 AUD

We are looking for a software developer who has expertise in front-end/UI development, in particular in data visualisation dashboards.

There are three main components,
1) Ad-hoc data visualisation.
The purpose of the ad-hoc data visualisation UIs is to allow users to visualise any data that is stored in the system in various display formats such as table, charts, plots, etc. in ad-hoc manner.
Key features include:
• From the ad-hoc visualisation main UI, the users can select a display element, for example a table, a plot, etc.
• Once they select a display element, the users shall be able to select the source data for the display element.
o On the UI of selecting data, it shall allow users to search on particular category of data (e.g. cost, address) or filter category by certain attributes (e.g. time, location, etc.)

2) Dashboard configuration
Main features
• Defining the type of dashboards
There are two types of dashboards: real-time monitoring; historical data analysis.
Real-time monitoring: the dashboard shall display the most up-to-date values which
are just updated in system. (Either the display update is triggered by data update
event, or the dashboard is refreshed frequently.)
Historical data analysis:
This is similar to the ad-hoc visualisation, but different data objects/parameters can
be moved and added to a same display for trends observation or comparisons.

• Apply attribute(s) to limit the available data, for example region or suburbs, so that only the related data are available to be displayed on the dashboard
A dropdown list on the dashboard shows the list of the attribute values. For example, Region list (West,
East, North, etc.), or Suburb list.
By selecting a value, the dashboard displays data associated with the selected attribute value, such as
East dashboard, or Suburb 1 dashboard.
• Configure the plots/charts/tables and layout
Select a plot type, e.g. Time series plot; Available plots/charts can be dragged from a panel.
Select a data source - category.
For each plot/chart/table, a data category is selected by browsing the available list.
Select the parameters
Parameters, axis, scale, etc. are setup for each plot/chart/table
• Configure data formats, such as timestamp, decimal places, etc.

3) Dashboard Visualisation
TYPES OF DISPLAY ELEMENTS
1) Wind rose charts
2) Time series plots
3) Tables
4) Metrics/Numeric
5) Graphs
6) Polar plots

General features
The solution will display titles, axis labels and units on plots.
Multiple parameters from different data objects/categories can be selected to be displayed on one display element.
Users can display a same data/parameter in multiple display elements such as wind
rose chart, graph, etc. to visualise same data in different ways.
Use different colour to distinguish various parameters on a plot.

Interactive features
Showing value/number/figure (e.g. 200, 100) when mouse hovering over certain area of a graph
Showing specific data category name when mouse hovering over the line, etc.

Messages
Messages can be display on dashboards. Such as data disclaimer, notifications, alarms etc.

More details will be communicated and clarified with the shortlisted candidates during interview process.

Thanks!
