Fix React Native Nested FlatList Comment Issue
Budget: €6 – €12 EUR
I'm seeking a skilled React Native developer to fix a critical issue in my app's comment section. The app utilizes a nested FlatList for displaying comments and their replies. While the functionality works perfectly for top-level comments and first-level replies, a problem occurs when replying to a second-level comment (a “reply of a reply”).
The issue is that new replies to nested comments do not display in real-time. Users must leave the screen and return to see their comment. This is a frustrating user experience and needs to be resolved.
Key requirements:
- Proficiency in React Native
- Experience with FlatList components
- Ability to troubleshoot state management issues
- Understanding of component state and setState function
- Experience with React Hooks like useEffect and useState for state management improvements.
- Skills in optimizing the performance of nested FlatList components to ensure smooth scrolling and less memory usage.
My app uses state management within the component state, and I'm currently using the setState function directly to update the state when a new reply is added. All components are built using native React Native elements.
The goal is to ensure that new replies appear immediately after posting without a screen refresh. Please provide your bid if you can help enhance this functionality.
This fix needs to be completed within today. The app is targeted for Android and iOS.
