Finalize Cross-Platform Electron App
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
The core functionality of my Electron GUI is already in place, yet it still feels like an MVP. I now need a specialist to take it the final mile so we can ship a smooth, production-ready desktop experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux this year.
You will be diving into a working codebase, tightening the user interface and squeezing out every last bit of performance we can reasonably reach. A big part of the mandate is to make installation painless across the three target operating systems—signed and notarised macOS builds, reliable Windows installers, and equivalent Linux packages or AppImages—so that end-users simply download, install, and start working.
I am after pragmatic improvements, not an architectural rewrite: targeted bug fixes, UI polish where it still feels rough, and optimisation passes that noticeably shorten load times or lower CPU / memory use. I want to emerge with clean, repeatable build scripts (electron-builder, forge, or your preferred tooling), platform-specific installers that “just work,” and a codebase that is easy for me to keep maintaining and extending once the dust settles.
If you have a track record of shipping Electron apps in production, know the quirks of Windows/macOS/Linux packaging, and enjoy squeezing extra performance out of JavaScript/TypeScript, let’s talk about getting this app over the finish line.
