Experienced PHP Developer for LMS Platform
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
PHP Developer
At Classid, we work every day on building our own LMS platform used in education. We're looking for a PHP Developer who enjoys contributing to new features, expanding existing functionality, and thinking along about scalability and ease of use.
What will you do?
You'll primarily work on the development of our LMS platform. This includes:
- Developing new features
- Extending and improving existing modules
- Maintaining integrations with external platforms such as Discimus, Smartschool, AI tools and SSO providers
- Contributing ideas on performance, scalability and user-friendliness
- Occasionally providing support with server management or security-related issues
We also occasionally work on additional projects outside the LMS, such as applications for partners or events.
Technologies
You'll work with on a daily basis:
- PHP (procedural, vanilla — no frameworks like Laravel, and no plans to change that for now)
- JavaScript
- HTML/CSS
- jQuery
- MySQL
- Git
Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, Linux or security is a plus, but not required.
How do we work?
You'll join a small development team with two other developers. There's a great deal of freedom and autonomy within the role. We therefore expect someone who takes ownership, plans well and communicates clearly.
We currently work in a fairly flexible manner, but aim to move towards sprint-based development over time.
What do we expect?
- Strong knowledge of PHP and SQL
- Broad interest in IT
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of security
- Good communication and planning skills
- Punctuality and sense of responsibility
- Experience with AI-assisted or vibe coding is a definite plus
- Availability between 09:00 and 17:00 CET or at least 6 hours overlap with 09:00 and 17:00 CET
Bonus points
- Experience with Linux servers
- Knowledge of Docker or CI/CD
- Experience with API integrations
- Interest in performance and scalability
Why Classid?
You'll be working on an established platform with plenty of room for innovation. In the coming years, the focus will be strongly on scalability and making digital tools simpler for teachers. You'll have a lot of freedom to think along on technical solutions and make an impact on a product used every day.
