Real-Time Chat Application – Spring Boot & JavaScript
I am looking to enhance and finalize a real-time chat application that I developed using:

Backend:

Java with Spring Boot

REST APIs for authentication and messaging

WebSocket (Socket.IO) for real-time communication

MariaDB for data storage

Frontend:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript (also partial integration with React for login)

Axios used for HTTP requests

Dynamic chat UI with message timestamps and user display

Features Already Implemented:

User login & registration (with JWT-based security)

Sending/receiving messages in real-time

Chatrooms and message history

Event-driven architecture (message event publishing)

Image handling and rendering from backend

Relational database design (tables like messages, chatroom, inside, users, etc.)

Looking for help with:

Final UI polishing (or full frontend conversion to React if needed)

Optimization and code cleanup

Ensuring messages don’t duplicate

Performance improvement for socket communication

Deploying or containerizing the application (Docker optional)

Optional: adding new features like file sharing or notifications

Ideal freelancer should have:

Experience with Java & Spring Boot

WebSocket (Socket.IO or native Spring WebSocket) knowledge

Solid frontend development skills (HTML/JS or React)

Understanding of RESTful APIs and JWT auth

Database design experience (MariaDB or MySQL)
