Disable CKEditor 5 from stripping out our classes and inline styles

Job ID: 36666778

Budget: $50 – $75 USD

We use CKEditor 5 within DataTables editor. To do this we use the editor.ckeditor5.js plugin provided by DataTables.net. We mostly like the editor except for one major problem. CKEditor strips out any classes, ids and inline styles it does not recognize. This means that we can't do simple things like adding ids or classes to improve styling. For example, we might like to change the default styling of images or other.

From:

<figure class="image image-style-side"><img src="..." class="" />

To:

<figure class="image image-style-side width400" style="width: 12345;" id='666' ><img src="..." class="whatever" />

It will strip out the width400, our class, and the custom styles and id leaving:

<figure class="image image-style-side"><img src="..." />

We know that supposedly you can add some custom classes, but the fact that it strips out the inline style causes a lot of heartache. We have tried all the recommended solutions and all fail.

Our Framework is Laravel with Bootstrap 4. We can point you to a list showing what is built into our build if it helps.

1) Have you solved this problem and can you provide us with the solution?

2) Can you provide us instructions how to add custom classes to the toolbar which we will add to our stylesheet so that they will be available from the formatting toolbar?

3) It would be a bonus to add some image classes (our names & styles) which would be available to use with the image toolbar. The core options are too restrictive.

Bidding Requirements:

Do:

* In your bid show that read the post. Talk about the project. It needs to be personalized.
* In your bid we recommend giving 7-14 days to complete the project.

Don't:

* No job shops - individuals only.
* Don't post automated bids that do nothing but show you are a spammer. We will mark it as spam or low quality bid.
* Don't mention the word Wordpress. WP = spam. It will show that you didn't read the project details.
* Don't send a list of all your tech skills or clients. I only care about whether/not you can handle this project.

Notes:

We typically avoid any (automated) bids that come in the first 10 minutes. There is no hurry. Relevant bids will be evaluated after 24 hours. jQuery is not required but the bid form requires 2 skills. Thank you.
