Debug and enhance Helpify Community Ukraine

IMMEDIATE START
2-4 weeks full time followed by 4-8 hours a week ongoing support for a few months.
We need a full stack developer to help debug, enhance, improve performance and improve UX on our website.

This includes completing and testing a back-end architecture change which is nearly complete but not yet implemented.
Examples of needs:
1- debugging Google Maps issues
2- making website updates and changes
3- implementing new languages and translation fixes provided by translators
4- improving email and SMS notifications
5- improving user experience overall
There is an existing list of bugs and enhancements (backlog) which we will prioritise.
The site is on the platform Wix and uses a JavaScript-based language called Velo. Development is only possible on the Wix website/platform itself, not in your own preferred IDE, unfortunately.
EXPECTATIONS: Please be prepared for the following if you bid:
1- our site is used for sensitive topics. we will check your ID before you start, first in a video conversation with you and then through a "know your customer" process on our site.
2- we expect you as part of your billed time to participate in 3 stand up meetings per week over Google Meet.
3- You will be added to a Slack channel where we would expect you to participate.
4- Wix development requires a solid internet connection.
We are a collaborative and friendly team, looking for a member to join us in our mission for a while and help us build a better experience for our members. Looking forward to receiving your bids.
