Custom Blog Website Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want a clean, fast-loading personal blog built entirely with custom HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript—no WordPress or other CMS. The site should look sharp on mobile as well as desktop, follow modern accessibility guidelines, and be easy for me to update with new posts and images once the initial build is complete.
Key objectives
• Code from scratch with well-commented HTML, modular CSS (Flexbox/Grid) and unobtrusive JS.
• Lightweight, SEO-friendly structure so pages rank and load quickly.
• Responsive layout tested across the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
• Simple way for me to add or edit articles—either through clearly documented markdown/HTML snippets or another straightforward method you suggest.
• Optional extras such as a contact section or basic search can be discussed if they fit smoothly into the custom stack.
Please include in your proposal:
1. A brief outline of your approach to structuring the codebase.
2. Links to two or three live, hand-coded sites you have produced.
3. Your estimated turnaround time and any milestones you’d set.
Once we agree on scope, I’ll supply brand colours, typography preferences and initial content. I’m looking for clean craftsmanship over heavy frameworks, so if you enjoy writing elegant, maintainable front-end code, this will be a good fit.
