Create a test on jQuery to evaluate candidates for relevant roles

Job ID: 32085808

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Hey there,

I'm looking for an expert in jQuery to collaborate with us on creating a test to evaluate candidates who apply to positions that need good knowledge of jQuery.

The test will be made primarily of multiple-choice questions (though some other types are available, too, like multiple-response, true/false, and fill in the blank (text entry)) that will be based on real-life scenarios that candidates have to solve. That means, we're not looking for theoretical or standard textbook questions that only show how "familiar" someone is in theory, but questions that can evaluate actual practice through solving problems.

The test will evaluate intermediate knowledge of jQuery (2-3 years of experience), which means you have to be a deep subject matter expert in jQuery with extensive experience in the field, a proven track record to create appropriate material. You should also have strong English writing skills since this project involves a lot of writing that needs to be clear and precise.

Experience as an instructor/coach in this area is preferred but not required.

The project consists of creating a test structure (determining the 3-4 main skill areas to test and breaking those down into 4-6 specific categories of skills to include in each) and writing 104 questions based on that test structure.

Questions should be scenario-based (situational judgment) questions in multiple-choice format. The platform also supports multiple-response questions, True/False questions, and text-entry questions, but those will be used far less (if at all).

All question submitted must you own, original work. We can't use material from other sources on our site or any material copyrighted by others, or that's infringing on the copyrights of others. All material is checked for originality and copyright issues.

This is a collaborative process and we'll be providing guidance, review, and feedback for edits throughout the project at predetermined intervals. At the end, we will also conduct a technical review with a third-party expert to ensure all technical details are correct.

We also provide the possibility for a smaller project where you create the test structure, some of the 104 questions (depending on our agreement), and then review some questions created by others. This more flexible project will result in a lesser overall fee but can be done faster and with less input. We're open to discussing it with the right people.

Please send samples of test questions (practical multiple-choice questions) on jQuery, or get in touch with us for more information about the project requirements.
