Change required to an existing react project

We have a react project that implements a filtering component made up of 1-8 drop downs. Each dropdown is currently populated from the result of the previous dropdown. We want to change this to take the data from an API call, which we will provide. Most if the existing code will probably need to be replaced.

We need to turn this around ASAP.
