Arts Portfolio Website Maintenance

Job ID: 40246441

Budget: $25 – $50 CAD

Our arts & entertainment company treats the website as our main stage—the place where every production, exhibition and collaboration is showcased. I need a freelance web developer who can keep that stage polished and running smoothly so the portfolio always looks its best.

The site already exists; your role is ongoing maintenance and improvement. Day-to-day you will:

• Publish and arrange new work in the portfolio, making sure imagery, captions and metadata tell the story clearly and load quickly.
• Tweak layouts, colour accents and typography so each update stays faithful to our brand while still feeling fresh.
• Apply performance, security and accessibility fixes whenever a theme, plugin or library update threatens to break something.
• Commit all code or design changes to our private Git repository and leave concise release notes we can follow.

We work in WordPress with a custom theme, Elementor for quick page building, and a small React widget for interactive galleries, so fluency with PHP, JavaScript, Couldways, Couldflare, CSS and basic React will let you hit the ground running.

I queue tasks weekly but can group them into monthly sprints if that suits your workflow. Turnaround time is important, yet the craft and visual storytelling behind every pixel matter even more.

If maintaining a portfolio-driven site for a creative brand sounds like the right fit, tell me how you’d approach the first month and share links to similar work you keep in top form.
