Application for React Developer Role (US-Based)

About Us:
We are a growing online business currently working on enhancing our website and user experience. Our platform is built with React and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior React Developer to join us on a part-time, contract basis to help with feature development, bug fixes, and general improvements.
Role Overview:
As a Junior React Developer, you'll work closely with our lead developer and designer to implement UI components, improve interactivity, and ensure our site works smoothly across devices. You’ll gain valuable experience and grow your skills while contributing directly to a live product.
What You'll Do:
Build and style components using React.js and TailwindCSS (or another CSS-in-JS solution)
Collaborate using Git, Figma, and Trello (or similar tools)
Help fix layout bugs and improve responsiveness
Add interactivity to existing pages (dropdowns, modals, dynamic filters, etc.)
Write clean, reusable, and testable code
Occasionally integrate basic API calls (e.g., REST)
Requirements:
Solid understanding of React fundamentals (props, state, hooks)
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design
Familiarity with Git version control
Some experience with frontend projects (portfolio or GitHub repos are great!)
Good communication and willingness to learn
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with Next.js or TypeScript
Interest in UI/UX or design systems
Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs
Time Commitment:
~10–15 hours per week
