Advanced SCA SuiteCommerce Developer
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are seeking a work from remote Advanced (SCA) Developer to build additional functionality, correct existing scripts, and maintain front-end and back-end code for our E-Com Mall website, and internal tooling used by different departments throughout the company. I'm looking for someone who really knows their way around SCA and E-Commerce to help us make changes to our SCA site, as well as help work through some problems with this new implementation. This company's current E-Com person is leaving, and I'm starting there on the first of the year, so I need someone who will work with me to figure out what's going on, support new requests, and see if we can't straighten out some serious problems with the implementation. We can work with a partner or possibly ACS so we don't have to go it alone. This will have multiple projects to start, and I'm sure more will happen organically including possibly moving to a new platform if we can't make this work better.
Current Environment:
Our environment is highly customized to allow multiple eCommerce sites to use a single shopping cart in a mall theme.
Challenges/
• After doing a big bang implementation in Netsuite, organic search traffic has dropped roughly 30 percent, and sites are loading too slowly. We are considering the option of moving to another platform, but if we can correct these issues in our existing environment that would be optimal.
Tasks Some connection failures on Integrations could be causing slowdowns. Candidate will work with NS partners on the following engagements:
• The method we use for our mall to do a single shopping cart is relying on a feature that NetSuite has deprecated because it is a security failure.
• Need to test inactivating custom fields to improve performance
• Bring all code into as few scripts as possible (consolidate code), and organize it into modules so it’s portable. Move as much code off event/client to scheduled processes.
• Test environments are not working as well as they should.
• Sales will want to create new promos and make changes in layouts often.
• Support SCA Related current bundles and new bundles.
