Adobe Javascript

I have build a PDF document in adobe and I need the document to be sent to the next person in line once signed. I would like to have the document use Java to based on the information in the document know who it need to be email to. I think I know the best way to complete this but I don't know how to write the script. I also need the document to require fields to be completed but they are drop downs and I don't want the default one to count as it being completed.
