We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to the completion of a comprehensive testing project for an e-commerce platform, specifically focusing on user registration, login, and purchase functionalities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual testing methodologies, automated testing frameworks (TestNG), and database testing using Selenium with JDBC connections to MySQL. The project involves implementing Agile practices, designing and executing test cases, creating defect reports, and performing database operations.
Responsibilities:
Manual Testing:
Design and execute test cases for user registration, login, search, purchase, and confirmation functionalities.
Create detailed defect reports for identified issues during manual testing.
Follow Agile practices to ensure continuous improvement and collaboration.
Automated Testing Framework:
Implement the TestNG framework for automated testing.
Utilize data-driven testing by fetching data from CSV files.
Generate comprehensive test reports.
Implement explicit wait and Page Object Model for efficient test automation.
Java Concepts Implementation:
Apply Java concepts, including Inheritance, Upcasting, Downcasting, Runtime Polymorphism, Exception Handling, and Collections, while developing the testing framework.
Testing Types and Design Techniques:
Utilize various testing types (functional, integration, system, etc.) to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Implement test design techniques such as Equivalence Partitioning (EP), Boundary Value Analysis (BVA), etc.
Design and execute test cases for valid and invalid input data.
Database Testing Using MySQL:
Establish a connection to the MySQL database using Selenium (JDBC Connection).
Create and manage tables for Order, Customer, and Sales.
Perform data operations, including data insertion.
Write Selenium queries to find duplicate records, identify the product with the maximum price, find the most sold product, and determine region-wise most sold products.
Quality Assurance (QA) Suggestions:
Prioritize and perform localization testing to ensure global accessibility.
Validate exchange rates to ensure correct display as per the selected currency.
Conduct UI testing to ensure a seamless and user-friendly interface.
Execute scenario-based testing, covering basic, alternate, and edge cases.
