I need a Java Developer to refactor some old code

I need a Java Developer to update some old code I developed while a student in 2003. The code was compiled with JDK 1.4+ and references some obscure packages related to 3d rendering, X3D, and Applets. I've recently tried to recompile and run the old code, but it's throwing errors and I can't figure out how to update it since I don't program anymore.

The code itself is somewhat complicated and uses various artificial intelligence techniques to evolve agent performance. I'm attaching a brief I gave around the same time period.
