mysql troubleshooter
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
The Windows 7 PC running Java using an Innodb database created using MySql died (would not boot up). The hard disk was still good. I put it in a hard disk enclosure which makes it visible to the new PC running Windows 10 Pro. I copied the database (ibdata .frm and .ibd) to the new pc. Problem is when I run my project (using NetBeans) I get an error message saying java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/brent?user=root&password= . I believe I also have a problem regarding all the necessary information to access the database was not transferred to the new PC when I copied the database etc. Apparently I should have used mysqldump to backup the database from the old PC so that I could restore it to the new PC. I cannot see how to run mysqldump from the hard disk which is drive "F" when plugged into the new PC. I could use help trying to get this all fixed so I can run my programs.
