## Job Overview

We are looking for a **senior architect / solution designer with hands-on IBM CMOD experience** to design a **CMOD-centric target architecture** for a **banking document reporting and statement management platform**.

This is a **pure architecture and domain design assignment** (no coding).
The work is intended for **enterprise documentation, onboarding, and future implementation guidance**.

A large banking platform manages:

* Account statements
* Investment reports
* Mortgage and insurance documents
* Regulatory and audit documents

Documents are:

* Generated by multiple Lines of Business (LOBs)
* Stored in **IBM CMOD**
* Retrieved by customers via digital channels
* Subject to regional (Canada / US) and regulatory constraints

The platform uses APIs to abstract CMOD complexity and provide secure, standardized access.

## Scope of Work

### 1. CMOD-Centric Target Architecture

Design a **high-level logical architecture** that includes:

* Consumer channels (web, mobile, direct/LOB channels)
* API Gateway / Edge layer
* Document APIs:

* **DM API** – search & retrieval orchestration
* **DI API** – document ingestion
* **DT API** – AFP → PDF transformation
* IBM CMOD:

* Folder strategy
* Application groups
* Applications
* Credential management (CyberArk or equivalent)
* Regional segregation:

* Canada (Red)
* US (Blue)
* Dual-site deployment:

* Production
* Backup / DR site

### 2. CMOD Data & Index Strategy

At a conceptual level, define:

* Folder strategy per LOB
* Application group purpose
* Core business indexes
* Mandatory vs optional metadata
* Retention and archival considerations

### 3. Search & Retrieval Flow

Document the end-to-end flow for:

* Document search
* Document retrieval
* Conditional AFP → PDF transformation

Include:

* Decision points
* Interaction steps
* High-level error scenarios

### 4. Non-Functional & Regulatory Considerations

Analyze and document:

* Availability and failover
* Performance expectations
* Data residency and regional isolation
* Security and access control principles
* Audit and compliance requirements

### 5. Risks, Assumptions & Recommendations

Provide:

* CMOD-specific risks and constraints
* Key assumptions
* Scalability considerations
* Recommendations for onboarding new LOBs
