Spring Boot Backend Development for E-commerce Platform

We are aiming to develop a robust backend system for our e-commerce platform, leveraging the power of Spring Boot to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security. The backend system will handle user management, product cataloging, order management, payment processing, and more.
Tasks:
1. Setup and Configuration:
- Initialize a Spring Boot project with Maven.
- Configure Spring Data JPA with a database of your choice (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
2. API Development:
- User Management (Register, Login, Logout, Profile Management).
- Product Management (Add, Update, Delete, List).
- Order Management (Place order, Update order status, View orders).
- Cart Management (Add to cart, Remove from cart, View cart).
- Payment Gateway Integration.
3. Security:
- Implement JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication.
- Secure all relevant endpoints.
- Role-based access (Admin, Customer).
4. Testing:
Write unit tests for all services and controllers.
Implement integration testing with a mock database.
5. Documentation:
Provide API documentation using tools like Swagger.
Document all setup and configuration steps.
Skills and Experience:
Profound knowledge of Java and the Spring ecosystem.
Experience in developing RESTful web services using Spring Boot.
Familiarity with Spring Security and JWT authentication.
