Simple Selenium Ui and API automation using Java and assert values ( 5-6 simple test cases)

I want to get the number shown on a website using UI automation and the same number using API and assert those two values are matching. Should use cucumber and Java. The page object model is already built. Just need to write the automation. This is the first task. Then will hire you full time for my further tasks.
