Search Portal with Advanced Features -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
This Project will be done in Three stages. The fee posted is a rough estimate per Stage.
I'm looking for a skilled developer to create a Search portal using Solr or Elasticsearch that will connect with a PostgreSQL database, Create the appropriate indexes for search. Have a fancy and easy to search web/and mobile interface. most materials are Digital objects. and the last stage of the project is to create an API so that other websites can USE it to search.
The search portal should have the following main features:
- Advanced search filters: Users should be able to refine their searches using multiple criteria.
- Real-time data indexing: The portal should update search results in real-time as new data becomes available in the database.
Would like the portal to have fancy looking site, and to have in mind that the database along with the metadata it is full of digital material like images, photos, and notebooks with annotate .

ETL Process:
Extract: Pull data from PostgreSQL.
Transform: Format data as needed for Solr or Elasticsearch.
Load: Index data into Elasticsearch.

Frontend:
User Interface: Build using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework like React or Vue.
Search Bar: Integrate a search bar that sends queries to the backend API.
Results Display: Display search results retrieved from Elasticsearch.
Backend:
API Endpoints: Create endpoints for searching, filtering, and retrieving data.
Data Management: Handle CRUD operations for PostgreSQL data.
3. Elasticsearch Configuration:
Indexes:
Create indexes in Elasticsearch/Solr to store the data.
Define mappings to specify how data fields should be indexed and stored.
Use analyzers for full-text search, such as standard, whitespace, or custom analyzers.
