Project Overview:
Development of a Java Spring Boot Application: The core requirement is to develop an API that allows for the secure submission of digitally signed PDF documents. The primary focus is on driver licenses.
Digital Signature Validation: Implement functionality to validate the digital signature of the submitted PDF documents, ensuring they have not been tampered with and are authentic.
Data Extraction: Extract specific fields from the driver license, such as name, date of birth, license number, etc., using OCR technology. The extraction should also include retrieving the photo from the license.
OCR Technology: Utilize Tesseract as the OCR tool for text recognition. The application should employ OpenCV for image processing tasks to enhance OCR accuracy.
Document Template Approach: The OCR extraction process should leverage a document template that identifies specific sections of the driver license at given coordinates.
