Java Developer for API Feature Enhancement [INDEPENDENT FREELANCER ONLY]

I'm in urgent need of an experienced Java developer for a single day job to enhance a couple of capabilities in a data management feature within an existing API.

Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing the current API functionality
- Refactoring a portion of the code
- Developing and testing enhancements to increase its capabilities
