Java Developer Needed for Enhancing a Simulation Model
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Description:
I am seeking a skilled Java developer to assist in enhancing a simulation model that has been partially developed. The current model simulates agent movement and interaction within an environment, and I require additional features to be integrated to complete the project.
Project Requirements:
Integration of Movement and Aggregation: Enhance the existing model to integrate agent movement and aggregation capabilities, simulating "local dating" scenarios within the agents' neighborhood.
Development of Replacement Features: Implement functionality to introduce new agents into the simulation, replicating realistic scenarios where agents continuously enter or re-enter the system.
Implementation of a New Decision Rule: Add a mixed decision-making rule that evolves based on the agents' past interactions, switching from preferring the most attractive agents to those most similar in attractiveness after unsuccessful interactions.
Key Tasks:
Modify existing Java classes to incorporate new methods for agent movement, aggregation, and replacement.
Create new methods for finding potential matches within a specified radius and implementing a new mixed rule for agent interaction.
Debug and ensure the integration works seamlessly with the existing simulation framework.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in Java programming
Experience with simulation models and agent-based modeling (preferably with MASON library)
Ability to work with complex algorithms and data structures
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Project Deliverables:
Updated Java code with the new functionalities implemented.
Documentation of the code and functionalities added.
A brief report explaining the changes made and instructions on how to run the updated model.
