JVM Garbage Collection logs Analysis "Allocation Rate" and Memory Freed after GC
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced professional to analyze my existing JVM Garbage Collection logs and carry out both an Allocation Rate analysis and Memory Freed after GC analysis. My particular goal is to use the data to monitor JVM performance and to gain a better understanding of the effect of garbage collection on the application's overall performance.
The ideal candidate for this project should have a strong understanding of JVM memory management strategies and the implications of garbage collection, as well as demonstrable experience in carrying out JVM performance analyses from existing data.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can provide examples of successful previous analyses they've carried out on JVM Garbage Collection logs.
For clarification here are examples of basic Q&A required on the work posting.
I have an article to help do the math from plumbr.io on "How to Measure Allocation Rate?"
- But I still needed pointers on which of the many PSYoungGen GC events to select and to start with for the calculations.
- Also just the assist on confirming how the Full GC is working for memory freed after events, per the two attached logs.
- Right now Xmx/Xms is 60GB and I can't yet tell if additional Eden space would be helpful.
For knowledgeable folks with experience with JVM GC this should be some easy casual conversation and I'm looking for $45 for budget on the Q&A, with 1-2 followups. I do for sure add additional on the tip when extra helpful time or pointers has been provided.. I have an account here showing this but not used in a while and looks to be closed this morning.
Appreciate it and thanks for the interest.
