Java Developer Needed for Small Console-Based OOP Project
I'm looking for a Java developer to help build a simple, console-based application that demonstrates core object-oriented programming (OOP) principles on Visual Studio. The project is straightforward and ideal for someone comfortable with foundational Java concepts.
What You’ll Build:
A basic class hierarchy using one parent class and two child classes
Proper use of constructors, getters/setters (accessors/mutators), and toString() methods
Demonstration of inheritance, encapsulation, and method overriding
User-driven interaction through console input
Integration of conditional statements, loops, and optionally, data structures like ArrayList
What I’m Looking For:
Clean, readable code following Java naming conventions
Well-structured design that stays within beginner-level Java (no advanced libraries or GUIs)
A creative but simple scenario/theme to base the program around (e.g., a basic game, simulation, or story)
Deliverables:
A single .java file containing all classes
Code that compiles and runs without errors
Console output demonstrating how the application works
A short summary explaining your class design and logic
Requirements:
Solid grasp of OOP fundamentals in Java
Ability to write clear, well-commented code on Visual Studio
Must use only core Java features (suitable for early-stage learners)
Turnaround: within 5 days of starting the project
Bonus Points For:
Using ArrayList or loops in a natural, relevant way
A creative or fun scenario that still meets the technical requirements
If you’ve worked on similar Java projects before, feel free to share examples. Looking forward to working with someone reliable who can keep it simple and clean!
