We have a project that entails the selective imaging of documents that contain private data that must be kept secure. A document that is scanned (imaged) that contains sensitive data can only be processed if that section of the document is not actually read. Not suppressed post imaging, but the scanner sensors must be turned off for certain predefined XY sections. Ideally the software will recognise control marks that will turn the scanning head off or on.
This may not be possible (selective imaging), but we have not been able to find any support for this issue from current applications.
